St Mark’s Rise

Structural Design, New Build, Piled Foundation

Nestled behind the gardens of St Mark’s Rise in Dalston, we provided the structural design for a new three-bedroom lateral house and office unit, constructed using innovative Porotherm masonry in the load-bearing walls.

The site came with its challenges, from tight boundaries to nearby trees and existing utilities, requiring a piled foundation solution. By proposing bottom-driven steel cased mini piles, we helped cut costs by around half compared to conventional CFA piles.
