Charles Hamilton
Structural Engineer

Charles began his career with a degree apprenticeship on a major new-town development in Cambridge, gaining hands-on experience delivering infrastructure for over 3,000 homes. From setting out piles and utilities to leading sustainability initiatives on site, he quickly built a solid foundation in construction.
He later moved into a civil engineering degree apprenticeship in London, combining university studies with design work at structural consultancies. There, he worked on a wide range of residential and commercial projects, from refurbishments and conversions to schemes such as hotels and community centres.
Drawn to the industry from an early age – fuelled by a love of maths, physics and hours of Grand Designs – Charles has always been fascinated by how structures come together. At Articulate, he brings that curiosity to every project, with a focus on designing efficiently to cut waste and minimise environmental impact.
